Palam police arrested eight school dropouts on January 17 for robbing a passer-by under the Paton police station and making off with two mobile phones and cash worth Rs 1,000.
The eight arrested have been identified as Luv Singh, Akhilesh Singh, Shiv Shakti Ram, Pawan Kumar, Amit Thakur, Shivam Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Ashish Kumar Singh. The victim filed an FIR on January 18 at the Paton police station and a team of police officials led by Assistant Superintendent of Police with the police department Rishabha Garg was deputed to crack the case.
The police arrested all the eight and recovered two mobile phones which were looted with a gun which was also recovered apart from the two bikes on which the eight were riding and seducing a passerby. The eight arrested said they spent the money on various things for themselves.
Incidentally, all the eight in custody are in the age group of 18 to 20 years and are from Paton Police Station.
